Mental Health Supported Living

Lettershanner are accreditated with Shropshire Council for the provision of support services to Adults with Mental Health disorders.

The Team at Lettershanner have trained and experienced staff in Mental Health Disorders and we recognise the importance of effective partnership between Health & Social key services and working with Mental Health Services to enable rehabilitation and recovery within the service users own home.

Our Philosophy

By developing a programme of our service users this will contribute to their well-being and comfort so that they are able to live in the wider community with appropriate support, guidance and assistance.
Provide a supportive service in a safe environment in a domestic setting which encourages the development and re-learning of daily living skills, fosters independance, empowering the service user to achieve re-intergration back into the community.
Promote an environment that enables individuals to understand and value the need to retain their dignity, rights, privacy and religious and cultural beliefs.
Promote healthier communities ensuring people's Mental Health is supported and raised through good quality homes and support.

What we can do

Work with Mental Health Teams to prevent hospital admissions
Enable housing solutions by supporting the service user to obtain their own tenancy of a property that is appropriate to their needs both Physically and Mentally within the housing market from local authorities to housing associations, private landlords and help obtain housing benefit
Risk management within the community through levels of staffing and taking positive risks
Community based care plan with 1-1 support organised around the minimum or maximum hours to meet an individuals needs
Giving and supporting direction to access vocational courses and work placements
Managing Mental Health with : medication, support, Community Treatment Orders, Self care, relationships, self - esteem, work, budget planning, taking responsibility and social activities to improve and live a quality life.

Lettershanner can provide Adult Mental Health support to public and private sectors, tailored to the needs of the individual leaving hospital care after a long stay or family carers needing more support.

Lettershanner are dedicated to providing quality care, directly to service users living and rebuilding their lives in the community and help make their journey through to recovery.
